Wonderful feedback from client Curious Festival
After a very busy day, it was a delight to open and receive this email with humbling feedback from client Phil Douglas, of Curious Festival:
“I engaged with Sail to work on the Curious Arts LTD and Curious Festival brand development as I was looking for a small bespoke design company. I wanted a partnership through discussion rather than a larger agency where I felt like a small client and ‘managed’. I also have used many designers and agencies before but Mandy has an energy and passion which I felt in our first two meetings, to try and describe it, I just thought ‘I want that energy”. I was also really excited by the amount of time Sail put into understanding what I wanted to achieve, the direction and how I wanted to do it.
Working with Sail was beneficial as it felt more like an extension of the company/team rather than an outsider. There was clear communication and transparency. I also really like the volume of ideas and opportunities that were explored. Curious benefitted from Sail’s expertise but it didn’t come with a top agency price. Sail gave Curious Arts an Identity, an eye catching brand and distinctive brand toolkit. I am not a marketing expert but I know that is pretty tough these days in such a crowded market with so many marketing messages everywhere we look. Working with Sail was great for me as I am a really busy person professionally. I also have a learning disability so having really clear jargon-free language and being talked through the concepts in a detailed way so I understood the process and did not feel rushed was invaluable.
In all honesty when I initially briefed Sail on my requirements I did not imagine anything like the final outcome. A number of options were presented and discussed. I felt confident that Sail really understood what I was trying to achieve, so I took a bit of a risk with the option chosen (through Sail’s delight), and it really paid off. Sail were never worried by the way!
You only have to look at the Curious Arts Website, Brand Identity and the 2017 programme to see the results of working with Sail, I have a strong brand that has set the organisation up for years to come and when I talk to people they say “Yeah I know Curious” (I smile inside and out). I would happily recommend Sail and have done already a few times.”
