B Collective is a brand focused on positive social impact, part of The Millin Charity, an organisation which helps to empower local communities by providing access to support and training for women who are facing significant challenges. Millin Charity commission local designers to produce designs for products that B Collective then sell, acting as a trading arm of Millin. The money raised goes back to provide enterprise skills for women from hard to reach backgrounds.
We worked with B Collective to establish their positioning in the marketplace, working on their strategy, naming and brand.
Research and insight into markets and audience all led our conceptual brand: the blank canvas. Blank Canvas is metaphorical for opportunity: the local artists have the opportunity of commissioned work to be featured on the products, and the sale of these create real opportunities for the women/clients of Millin Charity. Blank Canvas visually represents the space and platform Millin give back to society, by having an expanding logo which creates a blank space for text or graphics. It is a strong yet flexible brand.
