Film Hub Midlands
Film Feels is an annual, UK-Wide film season, supported by the National Lottery and BFI Film Audience Network. We created a Brand Identity to celebrate film’s unique ability to transport us illuminate ideas, and spark conversations. Film Feels is now part of the BFI FAN Major Programme, has had international screenings at independent cinemas, has recognition as a national brand platform, and has had National Lottery Funding secured for future seasons.
With an annually changing theme, Film Feels aim to inspire programming that offers the viewer something different. Offering audiences a chance to discover films across eras, genres and national borders, and the venues and festivals that curate them. We were asked to create an adaptable yet consistent brand identity to increase awareness, build clarity and build a movement of film lovers.
What we did: Conceptual Thinking, Brand strategy, Brand Identity, Art Direction and Digital Manifestation.
We wanted to capture Film Feels ability to transport their audiences through the power of film. Using kaleidoscopic movement around a negative space box reflects the cinema screen experience. This flexible brand tool can be used to play with shapes, colour and kinetic movement to represent different themes over the seasons.
